Chef Frank Demarco was born Ridgewood NJ, where he was lucky enough to reside in close proximity to his grandmother Caroline Demarco. Caroline's cooking was somewhat of a legend to those who were blessed enough to sit at her table. Many others in the community who were physically unable to attend received weekly deliveries of her food and love. Chef Demarco learned many lessons from her, beginning with love and family. Chef Frank Demarco's passion for the culinary arts began at an early age and has only continued to grow. His priorities in life are family, friends, and food. Cuisine joins individuals, friends, generations, and even cultures. It is the thread that weaves tradition, history and love into the fabric of life as we know it today. As his skills improved and word spread, chef Demarco began receiving catering request. "It started becoming clear in my mind that this hobby was growing into something more, a dream. A vision of dedicating my life to something I will never lose a passion for."
After witnessing the events of 9/11 Chef Demarco decided to follow his dream and enrolled in the world renowned French Culinary Institute in NYC. Here he learned the 250 basic competencies that make up western cooking, as defined by some of the most famous chefs in the world. After graduating with highest honors Chef Demarco went on to work as a freelance chef for some of New York cities most acclaimed catering companies. "I feel that I was very fortunate to have gained experience working for some of New York's best catering Chefs. The experience I gained while catering events for the New York Ballet at Lincoln Center, Christie's auction house, and many other prestigious clients gave me the confidence I needed to succeed." He reflects His dream became a reality when he opened Demarco Catering Inc. in early 2002. Chef Demarco's vision for Demarco Catering is based on providing clients with a personalized line of custom cuisine and services to fit their taste, needs and lifestyle. His mastery of basic cooking techniques, passion, creativity and dedication to using pristine ingredients are the foundation for his success at Demarco Catering.
